The action sequences are the best in the series but luck played more of a role in the advancement of the plot than I would have liked. It wasn’t using luck in a fun way, like the Felix Felicis scene in Half-Blood Prince. It was just random luck.

This one does seem to have more of a developed theme than the others: how one deals with one’s own mortality or hallows the memory of the dear departed. I presume that theme is why The Deathly Hallows is in the title, since except for the mastery of the Elder Wand they aren’t integral to the story.
