I just NOW noticed I missed a shared link on my profile...soz dear!
Yes, that is very nice, but I also loved it when Cy Curnin (currin?) of The Fixx was designing hats...what was that? back in the eighties?
They wuz pretty.
Gracias, Nathalie!
It was a complete--& pleasant--surprise!
ah, los placeres de Goodreads...

Nathalie.. I think I will do just that... you figure we dogs have less time on earth than people, so we may as well mix it up.
Nath, is Kate Nash all over the place over there? Is she pretty big?
I just discovered her via YouTube and am in love with her album MADE OF BRICKS...one of the most original artists I've heard in some time!
just saying my transatlantic Hello!
Hope yr having a good Friday and revving up for a fun weekend!

Nathalie, Public Image Limited is one of those bands I almost forget existed. I shudder to think of how old John "Lydon" must be these days... Everyone around me, it seems, is a loudly ticking clock.
I just wanted to say thanks for the interest in my book. New author here just trying to spread word! THANKS!!!

Nathalie, I am now on my third floor non-DSL computer which is not good for either audio or video (well my Media Player which is singing to me right now...)
I will return though.
I just posted something but it seemingly went in the void so if you see two messages it was lagging....
I will return to check out a lot of people...Acker, Mei-mei, Phil Whalen, Bernadette Mayer...
I have this prejudice against poetry readings...but at this level it really doesn't apply...except when you get a great poet who reads his or her own work horribly...and they do exist...
Wallace Stevens is a classic example....terrible reader of his own brilliant works....
Nathalie, the Acker was brilliant. I haven't laughed so hard in days. At first, I was like what up with the music...then I saw what she was doing with the Pharaohnic parody....I swear to God I nearly fell out of my chair laughing...her voice was perfect...she had such a black sense of humor...I never get it when people don't get her sense of humor...she makes Genet look so straight-faced by comparison...no one is funnier really...and at the same time she's crafting these political stilettos and casually throwing them into the heart of the beast constantly...
It's quite an act.
Nathalie, you are amazing!
I'm off to listen to Acker. Thank you!
Also, at the UPenn (don't know why I avoided this though I knew of it for years) is my favorite living poet...Mei-mei Berssenbrugge...
She is a wonderful person as well...not always true of great writers in my experience...
I was just listening to her "I Love Artists" quartet...she's just the best thing going...
Maybe it's just I have this affinity for her way(s) of reading the world....to me, hers is the truest transcription...
Hey Nathalie...that link you gave me..if you have a spare minute (literally) click on Gertie Stein's 1 minute interview upon arriving in New York in 1934...it's quite funny...it sounds a little scripted though...see if you agree? Maybe it's just her lightning-quick mind, but it's such a perfect "commercial" for her....
Thanks, Nathalie. You have great radar, as always.
I am familiar with this site. It's almost in my backyard (when one is thinking globally).
If you know Silliman's celebrated blog, then you will get the connection. It's hard to miss such a great site.
But thanks! I bet you've been enjoying it too!
Nathalie, Bien-Aimee, I bought my camera.
I spent several hundred dollars more than I should have and still only get a half decent one.
Everything is so tiny today.
I am thinking visually but have yet to use it.
It's that phenomenon where you buy something and have such feelings of mana about it you are afraid to touch it.
So you go do something stupid instead.
Hope your day's going luverly.
Hi Nathalie, Nice to hear from you. I too have had to curtail my Goodreading...to get some goodwriting (or hope it is) done.
It is indeed too addictive!
But I have been thinking of you. We haven't been on at the same time it seems.
I often get off and on in quick saccades lately.
I like the word saccade.

I am getting into a new obsession, Nathalie! I'm going out to buy a new movie camera tonight...my old one's mic went out and I did these little films I was liking and posting to You Tube but then deleted b/c the sound was all messed up!
Now I will start fresh. I had been obsessed with scanning...but this is waaaaay better....
I can't wait to film poems, landscape, people, animals...whatever...
I feel like i'm five years old and it's xmas lol....

Thanks for the friendship add, Nathalie. Let me know how you like the books.
