I also have not spent a lot of time researching Christian art, but as a librarian, one thing I do know is that if someone is writing about something they don't know about, they better do their research. Nothing turns off a reader faster than making basic mistakes in a subject area. I just finished two books where the author gave a long list of people who helped her get her facts straight.
