Some of these characters made me want to pull my hair out at times. But it was a cute read, despite Fitzpatrick's inability to just get the truth out, and also the flashbacks tended to come out of nowhere. Cass, though <3

Okay, I loved this. I liked this a lot better than Han's Summer series. This was adorable and sweet and the way Han portrayed the familial relationships and cultural differences was something that I just could not fault. Lara Jean is perhap...more

Not quite as good as The Archived but still pretty damn amazing! Would have been a full five stars if not for some of the irritable things that Mac did in this and some rather shallow characters. But I liked how the mystery played out and h...more

Maggie Stiefvater
“My words are unerring tools of
destruction, and I’ve come unequipped with the ability to disarm them.”
Maggie Stiefvater, The Raven Boys

Libba Bray
“I thought research would be more glamorous, somehow. I'd give the librarian a secret code word and he'd give me the one book I needed and whisper the necessary page numbers. Like a speakeasy. With books.”
Libba Bray, The Diviners

Ruta Sepetys
“I leapt eagerly into books. The characters’ lives were so much more interesting than the lonely heartbeat of my own.”
Ruta Sepetys, Out of the Easy

Samantha Young
“I miss someone who gets me. I called a woman on my research team a bitch – you know in a friendly way – and she told me to go to hell. And I think she really meant it.”
“Rhian, we’ve talked about this. Normal people don’t like to be called names. For some reason, they tend to take is personally. And you are a tad bitchy, by the way.
“Normal people are so sensitive.”
Samantha Young, On Dublin Street

Sarah Strohmeyer
“I focused on the passing houses filled with couples who’d somehow survived this teenage craziness of ‘he likes her but she likes him and he likes somebody else, you just can’t win.’ How did they do it? How did they end up in their golden, warm and cozy living rooms with their 2.3 children and dogs and cats? Because getting from where I was to where they were seemed millions of light years away.”
Sarah Strohmeyer, Smart Girls Get What They Want
