Oh my gosh is he making fun of Malory's Le Morte D'Arthur and everything like it. (Ow! Ow! Malory is my man afterall.)

Would have been more fun to read in a class, where people who get all the jokes would have explained the referents to me. (I got some of them, but not near all. And reading the footnotes doesn't really let one appreciate the humor.)
