Could not put this down!! I was never into Harry Potter nor am I a Twilight fan. These Hunger Games commercials and interviews got me. So I purchased the book. I read it in 2 days on the beach in Puerto Rico (while everyone else was drinking poolside...more

Bourdain is usually outrageously inappropriate...but in a funny way. This book was more him complaining - there's a chapter where he literally names people and goes down the list saying why they suck (or why they rock). He also crushes the dreams of...more

AMAZING writing. Beautiful writing. A little hard to get into with the super detailed history of Chicago and dates...but it's SO worth it mid-story. The end is truly eye-opening to see how much people could have gotten away with back then...and did.

Steven Tyler = rock star extraordinaire. He name-drops a lot which can be hard to keep track (and who are these record moguls to little old me?), but all-in-all great book! He writes like he's sitting right there with you.

AWESOME connection with these 2 characters...BUT (spoiler alert) they NEVER get together! You're waiting, waiting, waiting...and then the book is over. Each chapter is the same day a year later so you're just hanging by a thread waiting for them to j...more

Read it in one day - just a good reminder to stay on track with your life. Written in a bit of a cheesy way (cafe waiter asking deep questions to a patron...and coming back asking more questions)...but worth it for a 5 hour plane ride before a great...more
