Augusten Burroughs became a household name when his book “Running with Scissors” became a movie. To be honest, I started reading that book and stopped after the first chapter because it was such a boring introduction. Dry is a dark memoir about Augusten’s issues with alcoholism and drugs. You really need to be in a dark mindset to grasp the intensity of this book....less

This book was written by the Editor-in-Chief of Men's Health magazine. For obvious reasons, this book is full of masculinity and testosorne.
While it provides a wealth of insight on health from a man's prospective, I found this book to be only average.
On page 137, there's an amazing smoothie recipe.
Strawberry Field Marshall Smoothie
1/2-cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
1 cup 1% milk
2 teaspoons peanut butter
1 cup frozen strawberries
2 teaspoons whey powder (can be omitted)
2 ice cubes
Blend until smooth and enjoy!
