“A Separate Peace” by John Knowles is a about a man named Gene Forrester. Gene Forrester returns to Devon High School, an all-boy’s school in New Hampshire, after attending there fifteen year ago. His purpose for returning to the Devon high school is to visit two places that mean a lot to him. The places are a marble stair case and a tree were him and his friends use to meet fifteen years ago. As gene visit these two places he starts to think back on the days when he was an upper classmen and hug out a lot with his best friend Finny. The novel slaughter house five is about a man who tries to write a book. As he time moves on this character within the novel decides to give up on creating a novel and beginnings to talk about a character name Bill Pilgrim. Bill Pilgrim is a man that fought in World War two and was in a terrible accident. Do to this horrific experience in war Bill was traumatized and became senile. Becoming senile cause bill to believe that things occur although they didn’t like for instance he believe that he was abducted by aliens and they mated him with an celebrity. Although that may seem bad but it isn’t the worst of it. To learn more read Slaughter House-five by Kurt Vonnegut. I my self gives this book 3 stars because to me it seem to it hit border line OK. ...less

After his chance to go through the experiment, Charlie was able to have a high IQ and experience love with Alice, his tutor. But soon all that starts to wither away as Charlie's brain starts to function as it did previously....less
