          <body><![CDATA[Before the movie, this book drew me in.  I felt transported to late 1950s and early 1960s and the angst of desires and disconnect of societies' rules and regulation.  Yates is so precise when he builds the characters of the 50s and 60s, so much that I really want more of his writings. The crisscrossing of time periods moves the narrative along.           <body><![CDATA[Well, what effect we have on others, what we do in our life that trickles down the ages, might be a slice of this saga.
