Well-written. Use of short chapters, multiple narrators pulls you along the story. Before I started, I knew it involved an unreliable narrator with plot twists, but I still wasn't expecting the last 50 pages. I see why it's so popular right now.

So well-written, it reads like a novel. The characters seem plucked out of Dickens. But it is a nonfiction account of the slums of Mumbai sitting in the shadow of wealth. And the corruption of public officials is unreal.
