Thank you Tyler Y. for the recommendation.

“The Stranger” is what I think best represent existentialism which is weighted more towards individuality which the protagonist shows a lot of.

Like many main protagonists, Mersault is battling his inner feel

After reading "The Giver" by Lois Lowry in 6th grade, I was curious on what her other books are about. As I loved "The Giver," I appreciated "Gossamer."

First of all, the vocabulary is not that difficult. It’s easy to understand and there are no words

This book was very touching to me because of how it showed how much a family can mean to someone.

The main relationship throughout the story is between a father and a son but they weren’t bound by blood or by law. Through illegal and immoral actions,

Queenelle Gazmen is finished with Only Son: This book is so sad. It really touched my heart and I feel as if I should make it into a movie. Family is as important to me as it is to Carl, Sam, and Amy, the three protagonists and to read what family means to them only makes my view of family much stronger than before. This is also my last book of the semester. Looks like I met my reading goal after all.

This being my first Stephen King, I expected it to be scary. My expectations were met with a standing ovation.

Carrie White suffers from telekinesis which is believed in the people in the story, as in real life, as a superstitious belief. By being an

Queenelle Gazmen is finished with Carrie: I am officially scared after finishing this book. Carrie had probably the worst ending, not bad as in badly written, but an ending that just makes you wish you never read the book. There were multiple ending to this book which makes it even more entertaining to read because for each character or group, there was either a happily ever after or a dreadful life.

Jason Carillo, the stereotypical confused jock, challenges his taught beliefs with his emotions. Compared to the other characters, his story was given the most attention to. He lives in sham

More of Queenelle's books…
Aldous Huxley
“Actual happiness always looks pretty squalid in comparison with the overcompensations for misery. And, of course, stability isn't nearly so spectacular as instability. And being contented has none of the glamour of a good fight against misfortune, none of the picturesqueness of a struggle with temptation, or a fatal overthrow by passion or doubt. Happiness is never grand.”
Aldous Huxley, Brave New World

Dr. Seuss
“You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”
Dr. Seuss

Anne Rice
“None of us really changes over time. We only become more fully what we are.”
Anne Rice, The Vampire Lestat

Mitch Albom
“Lost love is still love. It takes a different form, that's all. You can't see their smile or bring them food or tousle their hair or move them around a dance floor. But when those senses weaken another heightens. Memory. Memory becomes your partner. You nurture it. You hold it. You dance with it.”
Mitch Albom
