Hello, my name is geekazoid and I re-enact love scenes between Gimli the dwarf and Legolas the elf in frantic whispers between the sheets.
But tell me this J.R.R: how did you come up with such hideous songs and why do they pop up like rain clouds--sour, ill-fitting, and wholly unwanted. I tried putting a few verses to the tune of row row row your boat, but it sounded so wrong.
Also, why, at first is Aragorn introduced as Strider? Is it because he's a man and walks with a great stride? I'm sure there's a more poetic reason. Wikipedia tells me in earlier manuscripts, it was Trotter.
