Many have read THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL -- albeit a classic, but many don't realize it was one in a series of many. I enjoy the stories; they are light, but they still grab you.

The book is a well-written biography of a fairly contemporary saint (at least, about as contemporary as you can be and still be a saint). It is inspiring without being too preachy. I would definitely recommend.

Although the topic was interesting enough, the book fell more and more into big swatches of quotes and letters. By the last couple of chapters, I was skimming rather than reading.
