Prescott's Recent Updates

Prescott rated a book 3 of 5 stars
An Object of Beauty by Steve Martin
Good characters, good writing, not much of a plot. Let's be honest. Waiting most of the book for the real drama, and then it kinda works itself out very quickly. Oh wells.

The Design of Everyday Things by Donald A. Norman
Needs to be updated for the 21st century, but the principles are sound.

Kill Decision by Daniel Suarez
Would have loved to see a second part. The book seemed to accelerate as it went on, becoming less juicy, as it were.

Freedom (TM) by Daniel Suarez
Amazing. Great action, great premise, great characters. (part II). Not sure how this would have survived on its own, but as a two-parter, Daemon and FreedomTM are brilliant.

Beyond Band of Brothers by Dick Winters

Enchantment by Guy Kawasaki
How to Win Friends for the 21st century. Can't help but love Guy. Parts are a bit redundant, though, covering topics and tactics that can be found elsewhere (and everywhere). Still, a good read.
