the Hot Zone, by Richard Preston is one of the most horrifying true stories that I ever read. Viruses from AIDs, Ebola, Marburg enters the human race, killing almost everyone of their victims. These terrifying viruses kills their host in just a few days. Nobody can stand against these viruses, they go from one person to the next, destroying a lot of people. Hospitals get wildly infected as monkey houses catches the same virus. With symptoms such as red eyes, red spots on their skin, pain in the stomach, back, eyes, brain, and many different places. After the host is dead, it gets opened up by doctors, revealing their insides. Their organs are one of the most disturbing, disgusting, and terrifying seen objects that doctors have ever seen. This hard to believe true story is one of the most interesting book that I have ever read. The beginning can catch anyone's attention and just make then forget about reality and enter the world of The Hot Zone. ...less

A Child Called "It," by Dave Pelzer is one of the most interesting books that I have ever read in my lifetime. David, a boy who once had a very happy family with a father, a mother and two brothers, lived a life with nothing to worry for and nothing to hope for. As time passed, his family changed dramatically, a mother who soon goes on drugs and abuses this poor young child turns David's life into a living nightmare. The things that David's mother does to him is one of the worst, never imaginable things that can be done to a boy. I can never imagine that a mother, would do these horrible things to her own son. The mother tortured him, made him cry, burned him, stabbed him, forced him to eat things that not even dogs would touch. This story based on a child's courage to survive is one of those books that everyone must read and learn about struggles in life that people in this world had to overcome. I give this book 5 stars. ...less

This book was edit from one of my favorite writers, Beatrice Sparks. I learned from this book that if you do not experience something once yourself, then you'll never understand truly of how it feels like to be this way. Sam, has finally experienced the feeling of being lost and not having anywhere to go. But after this incident, he finally understand how it feels like and he will not ever do anything to experience it again. This book was very interesting, and it showed me that if I truly want to stop doing something, then I should do that something and learn what I've lost from it. ...less

Hamlet, the prince has to suffer having his father, the king killed by his own uncle. After killing his father, he marries his wife. Now, that he has become the new king, Hamlet sees the ghost of his father and asks for help to discover whether his uncle actually have killed him. They soon discover that it's true, they killed him. As days pass, they plan a revenge to get back at him. This Shakespeare book caught my mind intensely. It was so interesting, the way it was written in Shakespeare made it have much more meaning than if it was written in modern language. ...less

I learned from this book the tragedies that the Jewish have went through during the Holocaust. The deaths that occurs, the bad conditions, and hard work. It makes me sad to realize that people were abused in this way before. How can the human race hurt itself like that? Why must they kill so many Jewish, they never done anything wrong to them. Anne Frank, this young girl that lived during the Holocaust wrote in her diary every day while being hidden from the Nazis, finally, they were caught. Anne Frank and her mother was killed before the Americans and Russians came to stop the Holocaust, fortunately, her father survived, but sadly, the daughter and wife were killed. Anne Frank's diary helped us all, it helped us understand all the Jewish went through during the Holocaust and understand what it was all about. ...less

Darkest Hour, written by the famous writer, Meg Cabot is one of the books widely read all over. The fourth book in The Mediator series is so interesting that it caught my mind so quick and so hard. I was so interested in this book that I could not put it down. The Mediator bases a story about a girl, Suzanne that has powers that nobody else has. She can see the living and the dead. In this case, she has two lives, the life with the humans and the life with the dead. People to passed away comes finding her wherever she is. These dead bodies float around just to find Suzanne, since they know that she is the only person that can see and talk to them. They bother her continuously and will not stop unless she helps them solve their death. To take revenge and/or to solve a mystery.
I learned from this book that if you want to survive in this world, then you must have the ability to meet to other people's lives. ...less

Just like many other books, this one is written about girls being overweight and fat. Many teenager novels deals with problems such as overweight, anorexia and bulimia. All these problems are where girls do anything just to lose those few pounds. People grow and increase in weight, this is natural for every one. But for Lara, it is a Axell-Crowne Syndrome. it isn't her fault that she has this, from being such a amazing and popular girl with looks and body, she increases in weight rapidly.
I learned from this book that people should not be treated just by the number that appears on a scale. Their personality, their life, their thoughts and everything about them is still the same. Knowing someone means to know how they are, not by their appearance. Appearance is only one factor in a person, their personality is what actually fills a person. ...less
