Hilarious! She does a great job of describing what it is like being raised as a JW. Her dry humor kept me laughing. Although she credits her religious upbringing for most of her troubles, it is obvious that it isn't entirely fair since she has person...more

The author's self-absorption is perhaps explainable due to her childhood sexual abuse, however, it is tedious to read her long-winded life complaints. Long into adulthood, she blames her parents/mother for her troubles and doesn't seem to take any ac...more

What a page-turner in the beginning - I hated those mean kids who kept bullying Jodee and was rooting for her to come out on top. Slowly, however, her holier-than-thou attitude started to shine through, and not only did I begin to dislike her, but al...more

Great book for making informed decisions about which medical interventions are necessary. I"m so glad I read this before I gave birth to my baby. It saved me from having to go through a lot of unnecessary procedures.

The best book on childbirth I have read. This has information that none of the other pregnancy books seem to have. A must-read for anyone wanting to give birth the natural way.

Very motivating, and has some good points. Similar to other books in its category, it gets little bit heavy on the acronyms.

I certainly learned a lot about "Mapo" in this book, and the people in his life. I was surprised to find out that "Cruise" is actually his birth name (albeit his middle name).
