I keep hearing on the news that people are turning animals over to shelters because they can't afford them anymore. I think that's really sad. But if you can't take care of them that's the right thing to do. All 3 of our dogs are shelter dogs. One we got when he was a puppy, the 2nd one was about 5 when we got her. And last Nov. I adopted a purebred Pom that had come from a hoarders house.
