I need to stop sticking with books. This was a long long read. I found the character development pretty shallow as well as very predictable. I did find the historical background interesting. The despcriptions of church building is particularly good. In fact what I did enjoy about this book is the author's thoughtful attention to commerce and everyday life of 12th century England. This is not to say people will not enjoy this book - they will - the reason I read it was that I had several people reccomend it to me so many that I thought I had better read. Well now I have and I won't be reading the sequel. ]]>

Down the Rabbit Hole An Echo Falls Mystery
Audrey is trying this one out for a book report on a mystery. I have wanted to read it ever since I saw it on the Teen suggestions. Any cautionary words before I let her loose on it? She is in 4th grade and the protagonist is 13.
