This book blew me away. The scenes—the exquisite rendering of, and the pace at which they are delivered—are unforgettable. An eerie, brutal, and still terribly poetic fictionalization of a journey through post-apocalyptic America. The relationship between the father and son is heart-wrenching, their plight so bleak, so chilling, but heroically tender in spite of the ravaged end-time in which they struggle to survive.
