          <body><![CDATA[I read both and liked both.<br/>I am getting curious about sci fi - in the past I have never been able to get into it, but it might be changing, esp with more female authors in this genre.<br/>I also liked District 9 - a sci fi film made by South Africans, now available on DVD. I rarely go to sci fi films either but liked this one.<br/>The effect of the two Russell books and Distict 9 is to discourage me from eating meat. Esp 9, where the aliens are very prawn-like - I have stopped eating prawns entirely.]]></body>
