I wouldn't say it has an "anti-Christian" message at all. It's from a secular author, so it has a secular viewpoint.

There are only a couple of "scenes" that discuss anything spiritual, anyway. One is when they go to church for Easter and the little neighbor girl says something like, "You have to believe in Jesus, and you hate it. I don't have to, and I think it's beautiful."

Personally, I think that's a brilliant commentary on the truth of freedom in Christ. Being a Christian isn't about being forced to believe something. It's about seeing beauty in the cross.

The other time spiritual things are discussed is when there's a death, and they talk (briefly...it's not even a main point) about God not sending kids to hell. Again, I think there's a bit of truth to this.
