“Jane Austen had it wrong, Sloan McKinley thought miserably as the black Lincoln Town Car drove her ever closer to the bright lights of the George Washington Bridge and the Manhattan streets she called home. A man in possession of a good fortune only wanted to get laid.”

Virtual Writers is a popular online writers’ community committed to showcasing established and emerging writers in a range of interactive and immersive environments.
We provide a wealth of opportunities for readers and writers to interact, share resources, attend virtual book tours, online reading and writing events and get the low-down on featured authors.
Our main online writers’ space is in the form of a digital community where users move, communicate and socialise using mouse, mic and keyboard controls. We have found this type of virtual environment ideal for busy writers as it enables them to attend live events – such as author meet & greets, poetry open mics and book readings – without the need for travel. The writer is able to promote his work, meet with publishers, literary agents and other authors all from the comfort of an armchair.
We are also pleased to announce the launch of a new network dedicated to improving connections between indie writers and their audience.
Whether it’s publicizing a book release, facilitating the marketing of your book online, or simply increasing your presence on the web, Virtual Writers can help you.

Reviewers can make their own thread to post their reviews in, or post their reviews in the relevant Genre folder.
Authors can make their own thread in the Author's folder to find reviewers for their book. Please provide the synopsis of the book, and details of how to obtain a copy. Author threads more than a month old will be deleted in order to keep the folder organised and up to date.
The books that we read in our Group Reads are by Authors looking for reviews. Three books will go into a poll each month, so group members can vote. Some Authors can only provide a certain amount of books, so these will be given on a first come first serve basis.
In order to keep things fair, the earlier a book is offered as a Group Read, the earlier it will be nominated. There are currently several books lined up for Group Read polls, so if you're an Author that would like the possibility of your book being a Group Read, your book may have to wait a few months to be nominated.
