The best book I've read in quite a while. It starts as a story of a girl and her professor father, who are travelling the country from college to college, as dad changes jobs each semester. The settle in one town for Blue's (the daughter's) senior year. She becomes involved with a crew of ultra preppy types and a bizarre teacher. Before you know it, you are reading a murder mystery similar to Dashiell Hammet or Ring Lardner. This book kept me up a few nights, I was unable to stop reading it. Well written and laid out like a course with a syllabus and even a final exam. It is littered with references, some real some made up, and lots of quirky and inventive similes and imagery. READ THIS BOOK!...less
