At first I thought that the book would be a pain in the neck, but later on, I found that it was quite interesting. There was much conflict between the white and the Native Americans. Although, the book does have a huge bias towards one side, I could still see the facts about what the Native Americans wanted to defend from the greed of the Americans. It includes atrocious acts on both side, broken promises and betrayal/friendship between the two groups at some point....less

This book is about people from Europe who appears to spend their time in luxury and wealth. Although in the book, they are not considered rich, they seem to spend much of their money on food, women and traveling. This book is about a teacher who started the career in teaching high school kids. It was hard and she thought the kids were just plain bad. However as time passed, she was able to looked into the kid's outside life and the reason why they were like that. Eventually, she was able to change the life of many kids especially their feeling towards English.
This book felt very personal and I think that it was pretty much based on the point of view of a teacher. Teachter have a very hard time to especially the amount of people they have to learn and face.

In this sequel, Frodo and Sam seperates from the main party of the fellowship in order to avoid conflict the ring cast and to continue their quest. After Boromir dies, the remaining members of the party Aragon, Legolas and Gimli set out on a journey to find the two remaining hobbits that were captured by orcs. There is a two part storyline in which the the hobbits try to find a way to Mordor in addition to taming Smergol a creature that was once a hobbit, but corrupted by the powers of the ring. Meanwhile, the main party prepares an assault from Isengard as it release its 10,000 Uruk Hai army.
Unlike the movie, the book expresses certain types of theme such as trust and the will to continue. It is also quite detail too. One of the things that it brings up while I read the book was what time period the author was in? Who did they consider barbarians....less

It was around the time when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, an area that reside to America. This arouse racism towards Japanese. Ever since then, people began to persecute this race. A young girl named Jeanne told of her story how hard to accept others doing to herself. Some people were challenged in where their loyalty resides.
America is not a perfect place, there are always some people who persecute other thinking that they are superior to others or by fear. If America live like that, it would not be a land of freedom, but a land where it was a joke. The ending of this book was so great, but overall it was good....less

There is this girl who is searching for the truth about her family. While that, she experience some relationship between her father and people who intend to help her.
The title may be misleading, but it shows that their is some good and bad in life. Some of the things that is interesting is that bees cannot survive with a queen and like people they slowly die off because of no strong ruler. However, once a new queen comes, their life goes back to normal....less

In this book, you will experienced a fantasy that consist of many medieval characters imagined such as hobbits, elves and orcs. The story goes in which Frodo a hobbit obtains and ring and must journey with the burden to bring to Mount Doom in a evil land far away to destroy. The ring of course must never go to the hands of the Dark Lord who is a enemy is the world he dwells known as middle earth or else...
Frodo then was involved in a fellowship that helps him through the journey. Hobbits have never got out the Shire or at least most of them. They seldom see the outside world. However, in Frodo's mission, it must be done and Frodo along the way experience friendship wiht others not like his kind. In this book, one of the biggest theme I find is companionship; a friend who can be trusted through hard times is a friend that will never leave your side. Frodo has some trouble ajusting to relationship with others that were not hobbits. In fact, the fellowship contain men, an elve, dwarf, wizard and some hobbits like himself. A mix sort of group different in many way, but can work together since their sole purpose is to end evil....less

This next Redwall book and one of the most famous is starting with Martin the Warrior again. After he had defeated Badrang the stoat, he is now is mossflower area which is under the rule of Tsarmina the daughter of Verduaga who also had a older brother Ungatt Trunn in another Redwall book series. These are one of the relationship this book has with others. Continuing on, martin was then captured and brought inot Kotir the stronghold of Tsarmina the cruel evil wildcat. Later on he met Gonoff where they unite along with other woodlanders to rebel against Tsarmina- a rebellion which was the start of Redwall. In order to do so, Matthais and some of his friends went to find salamandastron to find Boar the figter for assistance. They came back without him but the a new sword for Martin. There began the final plans to defeat Tsarmina...
The one thing i learn form this thing is courage. I guess in those days the value it. It reminds me sometimes wehn presenting something to other people, it takes courage becaue i am not that kind of person who like to talk openly with others. Courage is what keeps people going and eventually becomes a good relfection to their deeds. Even looking at the most uncommon people, there is some kind of courage within them....less

This book might start out with a guy who almost 19 years old with two dead end jobs. He has to take care of his three sisters since his mom is in jail for supposingly killing his father. He is to deal with situations such as watching out other guys who might have sex with his eldest sister Amber who had a hating life. The middle sister Misty seem to be kind of boyish yet holds a dark secret. Jody the youngest of them all seem to be the most pure yet she seems to be the carrier of inforamtion the family wants and usually the least expected. Soon the guy who name is Harley starts having an affair with a mother and his life begins to fall apart. His relationship with his true family members starts to fall apart. At the meantime, he discover the secrets from behind the death of his father.
This book is quiet disturbing; the one who read this must not be faint of heart and also very mature. 20 year olds having a sexual intercourse with 35 year olds don't usually happen, but is possible. The important thing in this book is its theme- do not do soemthing you might be ashamed of. If Harley have not laid with the married woman, he wouldn't have to defend his sister Amber who was the one responsible for killing the woman. The family loves him in some way, but can feel rejected at times. That why you should know that they love you even in the worst case in which they seem to hate you....less
