+ A lot of insight into the world of multinational businesses and their shortcomings
+ Good for raising your consciousness and making you question your choices
- But at the same time the book feels too quick to draw conclusions. For example, why does Klein draw the conclusion that brands always lead to these negative effects? Or that companies always take only the minimum amount of responsibility they can get away with?

I feel that while a lot of what Klein says is true, she completely ignores the positive side of brands, or the power that social business has to change the world.

Maybe this can be explained by the fact that No Logo was written almost 10 years ago and the world has changed since?

In all, this was a book worth reading. Interesting and thought provoking (but a bit too long).

The book has some good moments as it points out how Christianity should really be about loving your neighbor and how doing things for "the invisible world" actually makes a difference in this world as well.

Where the book falls short, however, is that all the examples don't really show why another world is needed for explaining all these positive actions, dreams and hopes. It's as if Yancey had told himself, "OK, let's write a skeptical book -- but not too skeptical." There are clear boundaries that he is not ready to cross, and one of them is that there has to be another world.

A nice book about being nice :)

Easy to approach and read, but maybe because of that lacks a bit in depth.

Interesting thoughts about the relation between religious beliefs and scientific knowledge. However, I feel the book didn't address Christianity specifically enough -- I was left with the question: what makes one religion special compared to others? It's a completely different thing to believe in an abstract god than a specific one. That aspect was left almost untouched by the otherwise thoughtful book.

A fun read with inspiring ideas. While I don't agree with each and every one of Hodgkinson's ways to be idle, the overall message is important.
