An incredibly fun read. The story of the Sweet'n'Low company told by a disinherited heir, it's a story of New York and American manufacturing and sweeteners through history and a Jewish family and the Mafia and it's a hella fun read. Two thumbs up, fine family fun.

I read this book about once a year. The first third of the book is pretty much my favorite thing in the history of mankind.

Oh, the shit I read for my Robin Hood fixation, honestly. I keep trying to muscle through this---I have technically been reading this since January---and it's just, ugh. Dudes, if it's a Robin Hood book, maybe Robin Hood should be a tiny bit appealling.

Also---and this is embarrassing---I hate Robin Hood books where the names are different. Granted, his thesis is that Robin was Welsch, so the names come out accordingy. But, dude, just... just call them Robin and Little John, okay?

I haven't read this since I was 11, tops, but it's still a delight. I love how dorky all the boys are. The best part is that I honestly can't remember a lick of the mystery. However, I remember the illustrations vividly. Hella appealling.
