I tried. But wasn't in the mood. UPDATE: my first attempt was unsucessful; however, I am committed to finishing Lydia Davis' translation of this classic as I'm sure I'll be able to finish her version.

Gorgeous and brilliant and smart and just insanely good. Not in a very long time has a book so cleanly pierced my mind and stayed with me for hours and days after reading. Each sentence was a masterpiece.
