If you came from a family that avoided the subject of money, or had problems when discussing money, this is a MUST read. It uses a story format to convey the two major differences in the ways that people deal with money - one that uses money to make more money, and one that uses money to get by in life. It's a quick and easy read - my husband and I actually listened to it on audio during one of our drives for the holidays. It was a real eye opener about some of our learned money habits and if nothing else, will get you to consider the different ways in which people treat money.(less)

This book is a pretty quick read - I picked it up at the airport on my way to Jamaica and finished it poolside on a Sunday after a wedding. It's an interesting and easy to understand look at the neurological research behind persuasion and motivation. I wished that there was a little more depth to the studies and the various factors that went into testing the findings, but I'm sure most people aren't interested in the actual research as much as the generalized findings. I would recommend this to anyone who has something to sell, something to manage, or to those who need support for a cause. This is a quick and easy dissection of what will motivate others to buy or participate.(less)

This may be an eye opener to an older generation that comes from a big media dominated lifestyle, but I think to a younger generation, this is pointing out the obvious about what trendsetters today are already doing to become more successful. If you found this book interesting, the next read I would suggest would be "Microtrends"- where all of the smaller segments are actually talked about in terms of how you can market directly to them.(less)
