The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time (Paperback) by Mark Haddon |
my rating:
|
Catherine said:
"Haddon creates a nice rhythm that slowly builds into a tension in the reader that's shared with the main character, a 15 year old boy with autism. It's a little gut wrenching, and definitely an educational experience.

Catherine said:
"Memoir of a beyond hellish, nightmare of a childhood dealing with religous fanatacism, racism, and the love between a white girl and her adopted black brother. If you don't cry at the end, you have no soul. Highly recommended.

What Good Are the Arts? (Hardcover) by John Carey bookshelves: couldn-t-finish |
my rating:
|
|
read in May, 2008
Catherine said:
"Didn't finish it, but not because I don't enjoy a good deconstruction of the arts. I had to get on a plane and return it lest I come home to face killer over-due library fines (and if you've ever been a Terp, you'll understand).
