My first novel,nominated for the Library of Virginia Fiction award, White Lies: A Tale of Babies, Vaccines, and Deception, tells the story of one mother’s quest for the truth about the childhood vaccine that injured her son. Other prize-winning fiction has appeared in Antietam Review, New Millenium, SouthLit, the HooK, and other literary journals. John Grisham selected two of my short stories for second and third prize in the 2008 HooK short fiction contest at the Virginia Festival of the Book. With over 70 author events in the last 16 months, I am available to speak and teach creative writing at seminars and conferences to students of all ages.
