This is enjoyably written. If you have already read a bit on evolutionary psychology & similar topics you are not likely to learn anything new.

The Dog Who Knew Too Much by Spencer Quinn
Cliched cuteness in the dog repeated over and over. Cardboard characters. I lasted through half of it before deciding to go on to something else.
It's a shame. I expected to like it!
