An amazing book about bullying and loneliness. I could not put this book down and what is worse, it made me feel so, so sad about those times I was a bystander.

I found it very difficult to get through this book. I had to re-read so much of it. The characters were not all that sympathetic. Kind of deadening.

I could not put this book down. Incredible description of life for all POWs in Japan during WWII. A bit disturbing to read but I highly recommend it!
