For those who haven't seen it here's the premise. Spoiler Alert. Ants on an ant hill are being harrassed by a gang of grasshoppers. It's a protection racket where the ants are spared violence as long as they provide the grasshoppers with an annual supply of food. Flick, the protagonist, devises a plan to scare the grasshoppers off once and for all. He enlists the help of a band of "circus bugs" ala Seven Samurai, Magnificent 7, or The Three Amigos. There's a scene where Hopper, the antagonist, talking to the other grasshoppers says "You let one ant stand up to us, then they all might stand up! Those puny little ants outnumber us a hundred to one and if they ever figure that out there goes our way of life! It's not about food, it's about keeping those ants in line." Compelling isn't it?

I highly recommend seeing the movie whether you have kids or not. If you do have kids be sure and discuss these aspects of the movie with them. If you don't have kids, I'm sure there are desperate parents out there looking for baby sitters.
