I finally understand the attack that took place toward the middle of the "The Amulet of Samarkand" and the reason behind it. I can't believe that I am actually kind of pitying the Resistance, the force fighting the magicians in the book. In the first book in the series, I saw those who fought the rule of the magicians as the magicians themselves did, I didn't understand them and saw them as evil. At this point, though, I am torn between the magicians, who try to keep peace in London, and the Resistance of those who are non-magical and want to break free of the magicians and their demons. Overall, I am very confused and wish everyone could just get along!!!!!(less)
