OK, this is my favorite book EVER! I love Ken Follett's books, and this is the leader. Absolutely wonderful characters and a fascinating and gripping plot. The book is long, but by the time I got to the end of it, I thought it was too short. The great thing about a book that's long is that there's more information, which makes the whole thing more real. And it also gives me more opportunities to escape into that world, which inevitably means that I will be bummed when it all ends.
Those who love architecture no doubt will be fascinated by Follett's descriptions of the cathedral as it is erected. I, however, am not, and kindof skimmed over those parts, so engrossed was I in the main plot, and didn't want that diversion.
Please read this book! It's fantastic! ]]>
