          <body><![CDATA[3.5 stars.  I felt it was disappointing yet it someone still held my interest despite dragging (especially the first 200 pages or so).  I felt is was a bit unfocused but thought the concepts of identity loss or actual virtualy constructed reality were interesting enough.  I still think &quot;Gun, with Occasional Music&quot; and especially &quot;The Fortress of Solitude&quot; are my favorites by Lethem.  I'm still interested to see what he writes next.
