I did like this story, the characters the whole of it, but it lacked interaction by means of conversation. Great story plot behind it, but what I would have liked in this book rather than reading that the characters in the story spent time talking about a topic I would have wanted to read the actual exchange of those words, what they were saying to each other. It's like this: like watching one of those black & white old films where you see the actions but the words are muted.

I noticed fractions of my fav tube shows in this story. From CSI to Law & Order combined with some Cold Case action. If you enjoy these shows than this is the book for you. This isn't the typical cops and robeers scenario. No way, no how. This is the FBI and your drug Lords and I never found one dull iota of a moment in valued reading time wasted. If anything I kept going just to find out how it all would end.

What mostly kept me going page after page was the fact that here I thought when all was said and done the book would swagger towards Danny getting lost in the Witness Protection system and Miller would have to struggle with finding him again. Right? Hell no! Low and behold it took a terrific unexpected twist into a direction that threw me for a loop and one I least expected. Can't tell you how, what or why you'll just have to read the story and find that out.
