The boys enjoyed hearing this and especially loved Fudge's antics. I had forgotten the disgusting ending (Fudge eats Peter's pet turtle!) but other than that we liked it!

I expected this book to be better than it was since it got so much attention a few years back. Another story of a boy surviving alone in the wilderness. Lots of unrealistic parts which made for some good discussion. It was a nice contrast to My Side ...more
