It has an interesting premise. What if you knew a book was cursed? Would you still read it? I enjoyed reading this. It's definitely offbeat, as the plot considers poststructuralist theories as a sci-fi thriller. The protagonist Ariel Manto is really...more

A very cool book. Better than Satanic Verses. The narratives are wonderfully fleshed out and the characters all shimmer. Not controversial. Just a damn good read. One of Rushdie's best.

Interesting. A bit terse. But I guess it's such a statement by itself, a work of fiction claiming to be a gospel that it doesn't really need to be go all out. Worth a read definitely.
