Before I start my review, I want to remind people that this is not a book, it's a diary, someone's personal experience as told through their honest perspective. The writer of the diary probably never even intended for anyone else to read this journal.
Although it was written in the 70s, I think this book could be read 200 years from now and still be relevant. As a junior in high school, I am surrounded by the temptation of drugs and alcohol, as is this character. I know many friends who have fallen to this temptation, much like the main character.
This book carries a powerful message about the dangerous spiral of drug use, and its ending will stay with me for a long time. ]]>
