A generally brilliant insight into how intelligent children think and act. Given the sci-fi premise, perhaps not entirely relevant (very few children will ever encounter a Battle Room situation), but some thing in it seems to ring true.
The twist ending is predictable, but is carried through by a genuine interest in how the characters will deal with it, and the ramifications of the political maneuvering around them.
