Fascinating, angry, funny and well-researched. Very good writing..in some places almost off the rails in an impressionistic manner.

It is a bit shocking to see names like Rove, Scalia and Pannetta crop up -- each one linked to Nixon. Pat Buchanan comes off as simply evil; nothing like the happy warrior on MSNBC brought in for 'balance.' He is a Nixon doppelganger. And Roger Ailes, now of Fox News, is an utter opportunistic worm. But you knew that.

Most shocking perhaps is the documented level of violence against blacks, hippies and general Lefties during '67 - '72. Murder, rape, assault...no one ever held for account.

This is a sobering book. Takes the bloom right off China and other Nixon 'good stuff.' A sick, twisted person who willingly sacrificed lives and the Constitution to further his own disturbing ends.
