I had to read this book three times before I really grasped it. The first time it seemed to good to be true. The 2nd time it made more sense. Finally, I got it. It's not so much what the author has to say, but what the people that she is quoting and are representing their view points are saying. After reading The Secret initially, within two years I discovered others books that were so much more profound. So, this third time I realized that The Secret it just a starting point. It is what opens the door. You have to go beyond it and really want to discover how to really use and live positively by the law of attraction, otherwise the book can be very misleading, especially if you'relooking for a get-rich-quick scheme.I think that is why a lot of people don't like it.There is a lot more to it than what the book offers, but it does serve a purpose. This book pissed me off. I liked her writing style a lot. I didn't like the story. It was predictable and somewhat disturbing. I don't mind a story that is disturbing, if I feel like i have gained something in the end. This just seemed typical. When I was a kid, I absoultely loved this book. I still remember the range of emotions it brought out in me, and I remembered thinking that it would always be a favorite book of mine. Haven't read it in years, but it brings back good memories. ]]>
