I read this book sophomore year in high school and absolutely loved it. I have always been interested in Roman history and Julius Caesar makes you feel like you are in Ancient Rome. It follows the typical William Shakespeare tragedy form, allowing the audience to know ahead of time the plan of the conspirators against Caesar.

So far, Antony and Cleopatra has been one of the more complex and enjoyable Shakespearean tragedy. I feel it adds to one of my favorite plays of all time, Julius Caesar. I still feel a sense of sympathy for Mark Antony, yet I already know the ending.

I had to read this for my Senior English class and absolutely loved it. It really helped to have a teacher fully explain the meaning behind some of the text. I wrote a paper on the Biblical Allusions in Macbeth and after going through the book with a "fine tooth comb," I found so many references to Pontius Pilate, Jesus and several Old Testament stories. Overall, Shakespeare's Macbeth is a must read.

Too mushy...Not a big fan of Shakespeare anyway, but easier to understand after watching the play.
