Hi, Arlene, I've read the same books as you have! This one in particular really changed my way of seeing books and their capacity to tell us things. I read it as a sophomore in high school in the 1960's. It was so amazing that I got caught by my teacher reading it in typing class and she didn't do anything about it! My dad thought something was the matter with me .... I also listened to Bob Dylan and read Mary McCarthy's "The Group," so he suggested to my mom that I be grounded. LOL ]]>
