Enjoyable enough book. Unusually, I ultimately preferred the TV series (call me lazy). Interesting enough read about American sub-cultures though. Good to pick up and maybe read a chapter at a time before bed. Entertaining if slightly disturbing.

I read this in 1999 / 2000 and it was a real eye-opener. It gave me an interest in politics and history that I had no idea was lurking around. It also gave me an insight into a man who's image is everywhere but who's motivations seem to be less well ...more

Sure you know Billy. If you're a fan you'll enjoy it. Otherwise, maybe just an interesting read about a normal guy who's achieved extraordinary things in his life.

My favourite comedian. Really enjoy most of Billy's work whether it's his stand-up or otherwise(The Man Who Sued God - seriously amusing)- and liked this alot. Hate to be harsh but I could've done with less of Pamela Stephenson. Minor moan though. Go...more
