So I recently got an ebook reader, sony PRS 600, it's great, I notice i'm reading even more now.

It occurred to me that my reader might be able to automatically update goodreads with the book i'm currently reading, and the books in my library.

Frankly i'm terrible at keeping goodreads up to date. So i figured maybe there is a technical solution.

GoodReads seems to have a nice api which does everything i need on the GR side. The question is the other side. I don't live in the US, and am afraid of Amazon's DRM / evil book erasing practices, so i don't have a kindle. But i do have a sony prs-600 reader.

What i want is something which adds my current book library to my goodreads list. And then marks as currently reading the book i'm currently reading in my reader. What's harder is to mark as read, i'm not sure if we can get out the % of the book which has been read, to mark it as read.

So what do you think? Has anybody done this? I was thinking of using Calibre as a starting point, because it's open source and supports many different readers.

Anybody know if something like this exists? Want to help me build it?

Really worth reading, very easy fun book talking about the culture of reading, and of course, how to talk about books you haven't read.
