I don't know how my life experience has impacted the books I DO read, but I know how it has impacted books that I DON'T read...I've never been what you could call "girlie", raised by a tomboyish mum, with two older brothers, it's no surprise, and whilst I love shopping like any other girl, I find it really hard to read the majority of "chick-lit", because I cannot find any interest in girls that just shop for unbelievably uncomfortable shoes, drink cocktails and party with the girls every weekend etc etc, because that just isn't me. ]]> <![CDATA[Kat Musselwhite voted on a question]]> http://www.goodreads.com/ 2575373
