That would be Draegon Taymerx pronounced dragon tamers, and Wanquijos pronounced Vanqui-as. The bad guys in the book, the Dijab Olli-Ka? That would be Diabolic-a. I don't want to fixate on the elaborately spelled and simply pronounced names, but it was something that interfered with my reading of the book. In my estimation it did not add anything.

A couple disclaimers. There are a couple brief but graphic descriptions of torture in this book. Also, it is Christian lit, although the author doesn't name names (I only put this as a disclaimer because the author does not bill it as such). Additionally, there are apparently no people of color in the entire world of this book.

In its defense, the author of this work appears to be *very* young, and the publisher is a vanity publisher. That said, the book suffers from a big case of telling-not-showing. The main characters are nearly indistinguishable from one another; all the good guys seem to agree with each other all the time with little or no discussion. It is based on some really simplistic premises, spelled out for us in the introduction to the book. For example, the bad guys were alright, until they got jealous of their neighbors, and because of this they turned into evil savages. Currently, they cause trouble for the good guys (the Draegon Taymerx), but usually only when one of the Draegon Taymerx defects to their side. This apparently happens on a regular basis, even though the Dijab Olli-Ka don't really have anything to offer, except for being really evil. Additionally, there is modern slang thrown into this apparently medieval-like setting: guys, oughtta, bro, etc.

I got this book as a first read. I'm glad I didn't pay for it. In part, because the author says on his website (astevezimm.com) that he will be donating a portion of the proceeds to some conservative organizations whom I do not agree with. (less) "
