That said, I really, really love her new SEAL series. Stephanie writes amazing heroes who are alpha, but not jerks. Oh, they have their moments, but when it comes down to it, they are protectors and lovers at heart.

Nick, the hero of Too Hot To Hold, is my favorite of the three brothers (though it really is a close call with Jake, the hero of Hard To Hold.) He's dark and tortured, and hotter than hot. Kaylee is a great match for him -- strong and sassy, and a touch stubborn.

This book (as well as the others in the series) is edgy and sexy, romantic suspense with heavy emphasis on the "romance." Stephanie's deep focus is on the characters, who are richly drawn and layered, and the result is a unique military romantic suspense.

I really think that if you like the Sydney Croft books, you'll like this series. It's not as erotic, the heroes aren't quite as over-the-top alpha, but it's solid, fast-paced, and fun!(less) "
